Wind Developments : Ontario SOP Projects
In 2008, IPC brought four 9.9MW wind power projects into commercial operation in Ontario along the north shore of Lake Erie. The Frogmore, Cultus, Clear Creek and Mohawk Point Wind Farms were among the first projects built under Ontario’s Renewable Energy Standard Offer program.
In 2009 IPC began construction of an additional four 9.9MW wind projects in Essex County, Ontario, close to the community of Harrow. The Harrow wind projects are expected to be delivering power in June 2010.
Project Highlights:
- Each project is comprised of six Vestas V82 1.65MW wind turbines, for a total installed capacity of 9.9MW per project
- Each project supplies enough electricity to service approximately 3,000 average households for one year
